Cultural Enrichment With Pascoe & Co

Cultural Enrichment With Pascoe & Co

  • 2 min read

Creating cultural enrichment experiences for collectors has been a specialty of Pascoe & Company for over 25 years. Caribbean Cruises, hosted by Ed Pascoe, have been one of the highlights of our travel program and the Seminars at Sea program presented by British ceramics expert, Louise Irvine, has given collectors the opportunity to learn more about ceramic art while basking in the luxuries of shipboard life and exploring the islands of this tropical paradise. There have been cruises through the Panama Canal and transatlantic crossings on the Cunard Queens to visit the British Potteries. Over the years, firm friendships have been formed among collectors, who eagerly await the next travel adventure.

Our next cultural enrichment program is a cruise around Cuba on board the fabulous Azamara Quest. Only a few cabins remain for this 10 day cruise experience which departs Miami on March 9th, 2018. Cruising is the perfect way to see Cuba as the ship is your luxury hotel while you visit the various ports and you can return at any time for rest and refreshment. Our destinations include the vibrant city of Santiago de Cuba with its Afro-Cuban roots which was the birthplace of Castro’s revolution. Cienfuegos, our second destination, is known as Cuba's 'Pearl of the South' and has long seduced travelers with its enlightened French airs and feisty Caribbean spirit.

The Azamara Quest docks in Havana for three nights giving plenty of time to explore this vibrant city full of artists, music, and eclectic architecture dating back to 16th century colonial times. Its cobbled streets are lined with classic cars, Salsa clubs, farmer’s markets, and colorful buildings. The faded glory of their facades only adds to the charm of this magnificent city. On the days at sea, Louise presents programs on many different aspects of collecting from the history of Royal Doulton and other British Potteries to the contemporary ceramics of Ardmore in South Africa.

Ed Pascoe has recently returned from a 5 star tour of South Africa with a group of Ardmore collectors. The visit to the Ardmore studio was a highlight of the itinerary. The American fans were given a warm welcome by the Ardmore artists whose lives have been transformed by the support of international collectors. This cultural exchange program continues with the Ardmore artist events in South Florida later this month.

Fiso Radebe, one of Ardmore’s brightest young stars, will be demonstrating his art at the West Palm Beach Marriott on November 11th and 12th , the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts in Dania Beach on November 15th and the Pascoe Gallery in Miami on November 16th. Meet Fiso and hear all about his fellow artists at Ardmore during his first international tour. There will be the opportunity to add to your collections from all the latest Ardmore arrivals, which were personally selected by Ed on his travels to South Africa. You won’t want to miss all the amazing masterpieces which are being reserved for the Pascoe Gallery.

Call Ed Pascoe now to discuss our upcoming cultural enrichment experiences, including the once in a lifetime Cuba cruise, the Ardmore Artist events, and the next tour to South Africa in October 2018. 305-326-0060 ext 105.
