Theodore Roosevelt Character Jug – Large (Prototype)
Modelled by Tony Cartlidge | Limited Edition of 350 | Released 2024

This impressive character jug was produced in England exclusively for Pascoe & Company as a tribute to President Theodore Roosevelt. Modelled by Tony Cartlidge, it captures the iconic likeness of America’s 26th president with remarkable realism — from his trademark pince-nez glasses to his confident expression. The handle features a finely sculpted bear, symbolizing Roosevelt’s love of nature and his role as a pioneering conservationist.

Handcrafted and painted by skilled English artisans, this large-sized jug was released in 2024 in a limited edition of only 350 pieces. The present example is marked “Prototype” to the base, making it an exceptionally rare collector’s piece that honors both Roosevelt’s legacy and the British tradition of ceramic portraiture.
