Royal Doulton flambé Samurai Warrior, Geisha and Wizard on a black lacquer chinoiserie cabinet beside red peonies

Royal Doulton flambé

New in our flambé collection

Flambé is the deep red glaze Royal Doulton developed at Burslem under Charles Noke at the start of the twentieth century, fired so that the copper in it runs from ox-blood red into black, never the same way twice.

A run of flambé figures has just come in: the warriors, sages and storytellers Doulton modelled in that glaze. Below them, more from our flambé collection.
