Royal Doulton figures of Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee standing on an old map of Virginia on a library table, in morning sun

Royal Doulton, Robert Tabbenor, 1993

Two Generals. Opposing Armies. One Defining Moment in American History.

Ulysses S. Grant commanded the armies of the Union. Robert E. Lee was the Confederacy’s leading general. They stood for the two opposing sides of a divided nation, and Lee’s surrender to Grant in April 1865 effectively ended the American Civil War.

Royal Doulton commemorated these two historic figures in 1993 with limited-edition sculptures designed by Robert Tabbenor. An exceptional pairing for collectors of American history and Royal Doulton military figures.
