Moorcroft Trial Pieces

Every Moorcroft design starts life as a trial, tubelined and painted in the studio before the design goes into production. The date on the base of a trial is the day it was painted, and among Moorcroft's own club members there are collectors who buy nothing else.

Turn one over and the base tells you whose hands it passed through: the tubeliner's monogram, the painter's initials and the designer's mark. These trials come from Kerry Goodwin, Emma Bossons, Vicky Lovatt, Rachel Bishop and Paul Hilditch.
