Description
The Royal Doulton figurine One of the Forty (HN712) was designed by Harry Tittensor and introduced in 1925, produced through the late 1930s during the early development of Royal Doulton’s character figures. Inspired by the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, the piece represents one of the characters from that series, rather than indicating a limited edition number. It features a compact, expressive figure in theatrical Eastern attire, typically hand-painted with noticeable variation between examples, which is characteristic of this period. As an early model, HN712 holds solid collector interest, with value influenced by condition, colorway, and clarity of the factory marks.
