Description
The Doulton figurine, "The Parson's Daughter" was first modeled by Harry Tittensor in 1918 and proved so popular that is was made in 8 different color schemes each with its own HN number. On the rare occasion, a new color variation is discovered of this wonderful figurine. Traditionally, the parson's daughter had a life of dedication with a position in society to be maintained despite considerable poverty. This is why some versions of the figurine show the girl wearing a patchwork skirt. Interestingly, the Parson's Daughter figurine is an adapted version of Royal Doulton's Pretty Lady HN 69 with the lower half of the figurine being identical.
