Description
The Piccadilly Rose Woman is a charming polychrome ceramic figure designed by the noted English sculptor Charles Vyse and produced in England between 1920 and 1930. Standing 9.5 inches high, the piece depicts a flower seller from London’s Piccadilly area, capturing a glimpse of early twentieth-century street life. Carefully modeled and hand-painted, the figure reflects Vyse’s characteristic attention to form, color, and personality. It is presented on a stained wooden base, which complements the sculpture and enhances its display. This elegant figure remains a classic example of Charles Vyse’s work and a desirable piece for collectors of British ceramic art.
