The Cartoon Classics and other characters featured in this book TH are arranged chronologically according to their production dates at the Royal Doulton and Beswick factories. Thus Bonzo, which was Royal Doulton's first cartoon character in the 1920s, is discussed in Chapter 1 and the Wizard of Oz series, the most recent commission, is at the end of the book, Chapter 24. The exception to this is the Walt Disney section, Chapter 5, where old and new series are grouped together. The contents page gives the precise location of each series. Production dates and model numbers are given in the captions to the illustrations but at the end of each chapter there are more details on each character listed in model number order. Chapter 27 features a rarity guide by Nick Tzimas and here the figures are arranged alphabetically by series. There is also an alphabetical index on pages 190-194 to help you locate individual pieces. We hope you enjoy this book.
